About Taba
Taba Peterside is the founder and CEO of Waveline Growth Partners, a microfinance institution focused on promoting financial inclusion. She has over 35 years international financial sector experience. Before founding Waveline in 2017, Mrs Peterside headed various functions at the Nigerian Exchange, including new listings and listed company relationships.
At Stanbic IBTC, she led a dynamic team that executed several landmark transactions in the capital market and propelled the bank to market leadership in investment banking. Her work experience also includes other leading institutions such as the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation, International Finance Corporation and Africa Finance Corporation.
Among several company and NGO board commitments, Mrs Peterside currently serves on the board of CWG Plc as an Independent Non‑Executive Director, and chairs its Finance and General Purpose Committee. She also sits on the board of Ecobank Nigeria in the same capacity, and is an active Life Member of Wimbiz, (Women in Management, Business and Public Service), where she previously served on its Executive Council.
Mrs Peterside is a graduate of Development Studies (Economics) from the University of Kent, UK and has a Masters in Development Economics from Dalhousie University, Canada. She is a member of the Nigeria chapter of Women Corporate Directors, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Directors Nigeria and a Certified Microfinance Professional of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
